Oyan Nazariani, head coach of Azerbaijan’s national beach wrestling team and a UWW Coach Educator, delivered an international wrestling coaching course in Da Nang, Vietnam, from June 2 to 7, 2026.
Organised through cooperation between the International Olympic Committee and United World Wrestling, the Level 2 coaching course brought together freestyle, Greco-Roman and beach wrestling coaches. Nazariani delivered the programme alongside Bulgarian specialist Georgi Sredkov.
The six-day course combined classroom learning with practical sessions. Key topics included training planning, athlete preparation and modern coaching methods. Participants worked with UWW educational resources and exchanged experience on approaches used across different wrestling disciplines.
The programme also included dedicated theoretical and practical sessions on beach wrestling.
The course aimed to strengthen coaches’ professional knowledge and skills, encourage international collaboration and support the development of wrestling. Participants received certificates upon completion.
