Azerbaijan’s U17 boys and girls beach wrestling teams, along with the senior national team, have kicked off early preparations for the Dakar 2026 Youth Olympic Games. The teams are currently training in Baku for two major upcoming events: the U17 World Championship and the third phase of the Senior World Series.
The training process, which began earlier this year, continues with an intensive training camp that started on September 20 and will run until the end of the month. The primary focus of this camp is to enhance the athletes’ physical conditioning and endurance, aiming to bring their physical base to its peak before the final training phase.
In the next camp, the teams will move on to technical, tactical, and analytical preparation stages. Upon completion, they will be sent to compete in the World Championship and the World Series.
